They would be so cool for training. Bit expensive though!

Whiteside 1 Oaks Athletic 3
During a tough first half Oaks conceded a headed goal to the shortest player on the pitch. With the wind against Oaks first half, they worked hard and went in at half time one nil down. With the wind, and the game still to play for, Oaks brought the game to Whiteside (who did only have ten men, one of those was playing with a broken rib..).
A Jackson free kick was whipped in from the right and O'Kerin rose like a salmon and headed the ball into the top right corner to level the scoring.
Oaks made the most of the blustery conditions by launching their throw-ins into the oppositions box at every given opportunity. This proved a very good tactic and O'Kerin fired home a volley in at the near post after a defensive error by Whiteside. Claims for offside were waved away by the referee and the goal was given.
Yet another long throw provoked a scramble in the Whiteside box, with Rick firing a shot directly at Jonny Horwood, which happened to deflect straight to Gollum. Gollum finished in style by placing a volley into the roof of the net.
With most of the top teams in the division now having lost four games, this result throws the league wide open. It's there for the taking, Come on Oaks !!!!
Jonny Horwood
This is why Special K was not there..
Next week at home to azzurri?

Oaks Athletic 6 Dog & Partridge 1
This match saw a baldy old left-back get a hat-trick. The hat trick was a bit good too. Well I won't go on about it or anything.

Oaks Athletic 2 Storm 5
Storm were lucky this game. Their pitch is shite, it is a mud bath which is imposssible to run uphill on. So of course they kicked down in the first half, got a few lucky goals, and knobbled half of our team. Bastards.
Got a couple of goals back in the second half and played some decent football. It was a shame but thats football for you. We will get them on our pitch next time. Oh yes.
Scorers. D Lawrence and D. Street (pen).
I can see the ideal team in my mind at the moment.
Left Wing - Jacko
Forwards - Street & Lawrence
Middle - Horwood & Rick
Right wing - Nathan
Defence, Jeff, Alex, Deano or Rob & J. Gray.
Just my opinion.. don't hit me. Next week we are at the same pitch (groan) facing Dog & Partridge. COME ON LADS!!

Oaks Athletic 3 - Stagecoach 0
Oaks cruised to an easy 3-0 win over Stagecoach in the first match after the festive mid-season break.
Oaks went in at half time leading 1-0, thanks to a looping header by Alex White from a free kick taken by Jeffy Archer. Here is a picture of AL.
In the second half Streety replaced Gollum up front. After some brilliant passing and movement, oaks took apart Stagecoach's defence with aplomb. Street squared to Jackson who thundered a shot past the pot-belly keeper.
Oaks defended well and worked hard. A few players had chances, with nobby hitting the bin next to the goal. Several more substitutions were made, with D Lawrence replacing Jackson. Some brilliant work by Streety at closing down the defenders resulted in a neat one-two with Lawrence, then streety slotted home with his left boot in clinical fashion.
The game was pretty much over at this point but Streety came close near the end of the game with a looping lob over the keeper which hit the upright.
