Oaks 3 - Stagecoach 4

Oaks crashed to a defeat versus a poor Stagecoach side. Oaks were left to rue some terrible defensive blunders, which resulted in defenders heading past the goalie.. twice. Awful.

Oaks started well, with jackson scoring a goal. Hows the love bite? haha
The second half oaks trailed 2-1, but managed to come back and lead 3-2 in the second half after some good pressure. Nathan scored an excellent goal with his left foot...

Well I think this is what happened anyway, cant anyone else write this?

Oaks Athletic 5 - Dog & Partridge 1

The game started off fairly evenly, with both teams having some possesion.

About 15 minutes into the game the ball dropped to the lively Nathan O'Kiern to be sure. He drilled a low drive into the bottom right hand corner. A good start for Oaks.

About 5 minutes later Jackson collected the ball out on the right, and deftly flicked the ball over two defenders heads in turn. The second defender brought him down poor jackson. There was no doubt about it and the referee gave the correct decision of a penalty. Up stepped Jeffy Archer who walloped it down the centre. 2-0.

A long kick by Oaks Keeper Parker saw the ball bounce awkwardly, with Jackson dummying a knock on header. This allowed Jonny Gay to sprint between two defenders and slot home with a clinical finish. At this stage Oaks were cruising.

One incident involving Dean Wright Rhino headbutting a player off the field of play was quite funny. This Made jackson start on the whole team. No one came to blows though and the game was not really that dirty afterwards.

The second half saw a taller version of D. Allen come ont he park for C. Andrews. K. Horwood was moved into right back from left wing, with D. Kierns pushing out left. After about 5 minutes played the ball fell to Gollum who is becoming a real handful to Sunday league defences. As the ball fell he spun and fired a low drive to the near post. The ball bounced awkwardly for the goalkeeper and somehow it went in! 4-0 to the Oaks.

Dog & Partridge worried the oaks defence after this, with some fine play. They managed to get a goal with a header by someone ginger off a corner. This fired them up a little.

Oaks settled down after this, and a superlative overhead kick by N. O' Kerin put oaks 5-1 up. Directly after this, he got the football in the groin. The match was over by this point, but Oaks were eager to score again, with Jonny Gray missing millions of chances! Results and table here

Concept 'B' 1 - Oaks Athletic 1

Oaks got off to a great start from a long throw-in, which was a dangerous tactic used throughout the game. The ball hit the Crouch-esque Paul Gollum, I think it came off his ass. Oaks had several chances in the first half, in this closly matched encounter. White came close at both ends with various efforts. Oaks conceded a goal right at the end of the second half after a poor clearance by Ciarns. It was a shame really as we battled hard after long spells under the cosh. Horwood-K came close with a brilliant header with the last kick of the game but it was not to be. I would have loved to have scored. I would have caterpillared the length of the pitch! Must try harder. Keef is now injured by a major finger injury, which means he cannot write any christmas cards this year. Sorry fellas. I found the surface hard going, I seemed to slip and slide too much. I also had problems coming to terms with playing on the left. I think I should have been swapped onto the right when Cole came on. It only just occured to me, but I am really bad on the left. I was also man-marked by the ginger cahnt. One amusing thing that did happen was a terrible pass by me smashed a thermos on the side of the pitch. Serves them bitches right.
