Cross Keys Chadwell 1 Vs Oaks Athletic 1

The first game of the season resulted in a one all draw. This means we're off the mark already lads! Lets see if we can continue our unbeaten run! Kenny Graves opened precedings with a cracking shot across the keeper that easily found the far corner of the Key's net. It has to said that the referee made some quite bizarre decisions throughout the match, one of them in particular was awarding Key's with a penalty for some pushing in the box. I was under the impression that if a player commits a technical foul in the box, then it requires the ref to take disciplinary action. He took no such action, until Deano was calling him useless and telling him to F*** Off ! Jonny Gray was also booked for about half a dozen dodgy mis-timed challenges. The game died a death towards the end really, what with the bloke with a shotgun turning up and threatening some of the players with it.....his mum was there too, and I was glad she didn't get her big buoys out as she kept saying!!!

Eye-Ball Paul WATCH: Looked like a World War Two bomb had gone off in the vicinity of his legs by the end of the match.

Mid-week Indoor Training...Tuesdays 7-8pm

I have organised a sports hall (James Hornsby High School, Laindon) for us to train inside during the winter months of the season. As much as it is good to get used to the elements (and heavy mis-timed slide tackles), I believe that indoor five-a-side football increases the speed and accuracy of passing within the team, therefore helping us to dictate the tempo of the game when we have the ball on matchdays. I did try to obtain a Wednesday slot, but this wasn't possible so close to the start of the season.
The first training session will be Tuesday 3rd October at 19.00 pm - 20.00 pm at James Hornsby High School Sports Hall.
When I have received the invoice, I will finalise the costs with the Gaffer and post them up on here ok.
Anyone got one of those fluffy indoor footballs?
