Oaks Athletic 2 Aspect United 1
Oaks carried on their winning ways with a victory on that dodgy pitch at Fobbing against Aspect. Last time we played there [Essex Wanderers] it was a mud bath, this time it was like playing on concrete! I have sore feet today.
Oaks had another Bare Bones XI out there, with no subs at all. We need more players to turn up next week at home to Storm.
Oaks got off to a good start, with little Coley finishing well after a goalmouth scramble. The next goal came from Jackson, who continued in his rich vein of scoring form. The finish was not as special as last time, as it was a shin-roll. But they all count. Jackson was made captain for this match, and he led the side well, even tracking back to fill in for old man Jeff at points.
Aspect came out fighting in the second half, and with some well timed substitutes against Oaks tired legs got them back into the match. Some awful defending by Oaks let Aspect in, with a good ball across for an easy finish. This led to a nervy end to the game, but Oaks managed to hold on for the win.
Note: Please Tell Me Current top Scorers, I cannot remember if I updated it last week. I think Jackson is owed a couple and the Gollum one, and doesnt cole have a couple.

Oaks Athletic 2 Hilltop 0
Another Victory for the Oaks, once the table is updated I will post it here!
A black dog in the dressing game did not prove to be an ill-omen for Oaks.
The game was 0-0 at half time, with Hilltop creating some good chances but with Mr Parker pulling out some excellent saves.
In the second half oaks threatened from throw-ins and corners, and exventually got a goal with gollum using his crouch-esque height advantage to head it in at close range.
Oaks carried on battling in the middle of the park, and the ball fell to the feet of Jackson who had plenty of space to let off a thunderous shot from ~35 yards. The keeper had no chance as it almost broke the net. Oaks hung on and defended well to hold on untill the end of the game.
